PROJECT PROFILE

BAESA Project

BAESA project activity is the construction and operation of Barra Grande Hydro Power Plant (HPP), a greenfield hydro power plant implemented in single reservoir, where the power density of the reservoir calculated using the applicable methodology is greater than 4 W/m2. Barra Grande HPP reduces GHG emissions by avoiding electricity generation from fossil fuel sources, which would be generated (and emitted) in the absence of the project. Then, the baseline scenario and the scenario without the project activity are the same.
